  1. I got to repost than:
With a full line and more of the team’s best “stars and hopes” forwards – Nash, Ziba, Buch and now VZ, out of play, our, heralded at the beginning of the season depth, quickly became very shallow… and I’m afraid our ship ran aground. But there is no reason to trash, badmouth or try to overanalyze team, without it bests, when all links are broken, system couldn’t be supported and as a result – moral and collective psyche is low… So take it easy on our left guys, will ya?…

  2. That’s a problem in own zone – either waiting with a puck too long, or try puck handling instead of simply get it out of zone momentarily…

  3. Doodie, words in my broken English couldn’t express how grateful I am personally, for what you’ve done and doing. Happy Birthday and have as much happiness as you can carry!

  4. I love Grabner. If only he would have an angel’s looking face of Kreider, instead of this Austrian mountain moonshiner’s look…Sigh.

  5. Good patience by the Jets there, working the broken stick. Rangers should lose this, having missed so many chances in the first, but…

  6. At least on the old blog, the wacky zaniness counterbalanced the miserable drinks. What does that make this blog without the wacky zaniness? A Yankees ESPN gameday Facebook conversation

  7. Rangers are on the verge of being overrun. They simply do not have the puck very much since the end of the first period. Nobody takes the body. And Marc Stall sure seems to get outmuscled a lot these days.

  8. Jensen, Jooris and Pirri have barely played, will be interesting to see how much gas the Rangers have in the third, or if AV is forced to play them. Jets have FOUR forwards who aren’t playing much, though, so should be OK.

  9. Oh and whenever they dump the puck into offensive zone, why do they never come up with the puck if they ate supposed to be such a fast team? Just a waste of time give puck away

  10. He wanted Black Knights, but Army objected. McDonald’s complained about Golden Arches. Then he tried Goldman Sachs. I suggest he tries Knight Time is the Right Time, or Once a Knight is Enough.

  11. Two absolutely stolen points, considering the wasteful first period. Outstanding defensive discipline the last minute, no fly-bys looking for the EN, gave them NOTHING. Wooooot!

  12. Good insight into whom AV trusts, looking at that last minute. Grabner, Fast, Oscar and the two warhorses on D. McD would have been out except for the long shift he’d just skated, but impressive job by the old rearguard (apologies to whoever it was who hates “rearguard”, a synonym for pants.)

  13. This is the kind of game they will have to win at least until they get healthy. Except for that stretch in the second a very solid, but, not spectacular effort. Have to admit I’m afraid Hank might have given up a softie and blown it. Hopefully Benny can help him get his head out of his butt.

  14. I do love the sound of the puck hitting posts and crossbar. In 2016, you cannot hear that exact sound anywhere in the world unless you go into your basement and bang on an overhead water pipe with a Stillson wrench.

  15. Missed the game. I was at the Panthers game (The epitome of bad management) and when I got home to watch the third I realized I’d forgotten to tape it. Smh
Mucho glad for the win though! Looking forward to someone’s write-up. Happy Birthday, Doodie!

  16. Catching up with dvr’d game…nice physicality throughout the game, end to end, enjoyed it.

I don’t think there is a softer player in the league than stepan…it’s embarrassing.

Hayes grabner miller best ranger line by a mile.

Speaking of best…I had it hated, no Doritos, and raaaaannntttaaa…in no particular order.

    Honourable mention to enigma.

  17. As much as i’d like to give lots of credit to Raanta, he rode his luck a bit with multiple clanking posts and the team were much more committed to defense than i’ve seen for a while

  18. Let’s see what they do tonight against the Hawks. This will be a real test of their commitment to D. Got to get a better effort out of Hank whom I assume will play. Hopefully they pull together and make a game of it.

  19. Nice win when you’ve got 4 players out with injuries. I thought the defense played well over all. Raanta was steady in goal. Offense missed a couple of wide open nets in the first, but played a good first and third. That second period wasn’t so hot though.

Hrivik looked like he could stay as a fourth liner. Jensen? Send him back down where he belongs as soon as one of the injured gets back. The rest of the forwards played reasonably well against a middling team. I’m sure tonight’s game is going to be a lot more of a struggle.

  20. Rangers score two and win, playing responsibly while still forcing the Jets to worry about their speed. Old-school win for old-school fans. Raanta was terrific, one iffy rebound for the goal, spotless otherwise.
