Because rangers have zero spark…no guys that throw some hits to get the building jumping…no energy from the coach on down…no home ice advantage to see here
I’ve said it a few times on here. Give Gorton time to fix the mess Darth sather left, not going to happen overnight, going to take time but I have all the faith in the world with Gorton, can’t say that about Darth Sather.
Yes. I hate to say it, but Hanka has to go. Like Girardi, I cherish everything he has done for this team, but at $8.5 million per year, he eating up huge cap space for a rapid decline.
We can say what we want about Fatso, but he never flamed out like Hank is doing here.
Maybe they’ll try harder and be better in the 2nd lol! Maybe they need to drink more coffee before home games. Hank is just not the same anymore. It uses to be with him in net we had a chance to win every game. Now when he’s between the pipes we have a better chance to lose everything game! Might need to score 5 tonight or it’s loss # 14!
I like what gorton has done this season giving double bubble every kind of player he wants. No excuses for the jackwagon coach who has this team playing worse and worse every season of his tenure.
Coming in tonight, Rangers scoring by period:
34 54 55
Goals against:
34 36 36
Frustrating for fans, but I guess it beats the alternative pattern. The fix is obvious: stop wearing the stupid focus-group, third-jersey pajamas in Original Six matchups.
Not scoring on PP, mediocre goaltending, surprising lack of passion and efforts (so much for tonight tribute inspiration), countless mistakes with and without puck. Good bye 5th in metro?
Hanks letter to his younger self: “and when you give up 3 softies against the leafs during the 2016-2017 season, always remember that it’s okay… your hair is tremendous..”
He does this all the time, usually between much tougher saves. If you’re going to get beat 5-hole on a deflection or screen, at least leave your blade on the ice, make that triangle smaller. Purely technical, easy to do, loss of focus when it’s not happening.
No way doodie. You are not putting eye glasses on Hank even if he’s near blind. Those eyes will never be obscured by a pair of frames. Maybe contacts. But they must be a deep shade of blue so as to bring more color out….
I know there’s still time but this is a game that you just DON’T lose. The Giants in 2005 after their owner died went out and whooped the redskins. I’m sorry but this is shameful.
So, what is good about a save if rebound of it goes right to the tape of opposed player. Sam is now so surprise and excited when Hank make a save and very casual when puck is in our net. Have to state again, that besides other things, their goalie is better than our in this game…
Klein skates in molasses, sucks worst D man ever.
Skjel skates like the wind, perfect player, never makes mistakes
Both players +5 before this game (lol speed so overrated)
Is it me or do the Rangers typically lose special occasion games?
I still remember jags apologize to Gretzky cause he scored on his retirement game so nyr lost. I thought that was classy move
At this point in their careers Klein is a better D man. He is not playing nearly as well as he has in previous seasons.
–
Skjel is very overrated at this point in his career by many here…and so is speed.
Yeah, we always suck on special occasions. You think management would’ve figured that out already amd limited them as much as they could. Though, sadly, tonight had to happen.
Sound of jackhammers in Rangers locker room, trainers attempting to chip off 100 lbs. of rust before heading to Montreal. Smell of alternate jerseys burning also noted.
True, Wick, but you can’t coach speed. You can help players improve their skating and edge control, but some guys got the jets, some don’t. Skjei does, and once he gets some confidence, for the Rangers or elsewhere, he could become something.
Norm
I’d agree with that. You can certainly get guys to improve their speed and get faster, but some guys start off “faster” than other. You also can’t teach size or tenacity…some guys have it, some don’t.
