  1. First.

I’m expecting a passionate and hard working team with a high compete level Tuesday night vs the Dallas Stars.

Sure was nice seeing the Cowboys lose in such a heartbreaking manner.

  2. I’m not expecting much. Home game, dead crowd, struggling goalie, D working their way through fixing mistakes… They could win, but I prefer them on the road again–betting on a good performance in Toronto.

Passion filled physical hockey…what is that? Lol. We do have the D out the window part down.

No to Doan…or iggy for that matter (unless fast goes the other way).

  5. Who gets waived when Puemple comes back. I know the logical answer is Puemple, but I get the impression the Rangers really like him, and think they may have something. Would they carry 14 forwards? Not something they have done before.

  6. BDL- I wouldn’t be surprised if they do carry 14 forwards. So long as they aren’t over 23 man roster limit. They are projected to have close to $9M space at deadline as it is, with all their injuries all year, more than enough to make moves. Removing Puempel will not make that much of a difference, and isn’t worth taking a risk. Especially if they like what they see.

  7. Hopefully Hank will string a few good game together and prove us all wrong. If he can’t pull it together it could get really ugly. Not only would the window close, but, the house would fall down.

  8. Not a fan of an offensive configured 4th line; Puree, Pums, etc. Watching Puree try to skate and back check is painful and Pumps has proven he is no banger.

  9. I’m glad the blog has finally moved to Eastern Europe Time (EET)! Bos, Otw, Fla, SJ and LA look to be the teams most in need of offensive help. Depending standings may be hard to deal in conference for D help but what do SJ/LA have that we could realistically trade for without giving away the kids (or at least not many)?

  10. Puempel and Pirri for Burns.

    ………

Da! But only if Burns will shave that stoopid broom off his face. I bet mice live in that haystack of a beard.

  11. #Isles News: Jack Capuano has been relieved of his duties as Head Coach. Assistant GM Doug Weight will serve as interim Head Coach.

  12. Not sure I see the problem with gudbranson. He’s a good player (been on crappy teams from day 1 in NHL), solid D man, good mobility, is a righty, a pending ufa, decent contract, only 24 or 25 yrs old

  13. I haven’t been nearly as active as I’ve wanted to be as far as contributing doodie. Do you hate me? It’s my wife’s fault. Can’t win an argument with an attorney 😑

  14. Zibanejad will need a little time. Once he’s in full stride the forward lines should be better than we’ve seen since early Oct. Who’s on the fourth line? Pirri Lindberg and Vesey?

  15. BTW RE: Isles. Wouldn’t Gerard Gallant or Bob Hartley make total sense as the next coach? One who could come in change the dynamic over there and really do some good by installing values and setting the bar high? Doesn’t that make sense? That’s why neither will get the vacant coaching position. Makes too much sense. Snow will come hire like Tom Barasso or Barry Melrose. Stupidity loves company.

  16. Wick you don’t have to worry. The Isles will never hire a coach that makes any sense. That’s not Snow’s way. His top 3 phone calls tomorrow morning will probably be to Trottier, Nolan and Perry Pearn.

  17. And I love it. I love Garth Snow as the Isles GM. I really do. I hope he stays 15 more years. Meanwhile over in Winnipeg, I think the race is on as to which they bring in first. A new goalie or a new GM.

  18. You gotta hand it to the Isles. Snow resists firing Capuano and then pulls the trigger after his team beats Boston 4-0. I wonder if Snow was afraid Cappy would get the team on a roll before finally flopping.

From what I have heard, Gallant would be the perfect Snow hire. Not sure where I heard/read about it, but Gallant was not portrayed as a good coach at all.
