  1. Grabner is not done yet …with scoring. Mika will pick where he left before trauma, Nash is good as he could, Staal notwithstanding, we have finally the original, planned roster, so, future is bright and promising again. Or is it? I’m very excited, for change…

  2. Ho hum. Just another assist by the playmaker Zuccarello.

For a guy who preaches that certain players shouldnt be judged by goals alone, he’s awful quick to criticize the leader of the Rangers in points.

  3. I don’t want to blame Lundqvist on the second one but even I knew that pass was coming through. He should’ve pushed out to the guy in front’s stick amd limited the shot. Not good all around I guess.

  4. The with the breakout pass for the third. And another D breakdown. And more soft goaltending, even if he did keep them at 1-0 for a while. Got to get out of town and get something going in Toronto.

  5. Also what happened to the speedy team supposed to get the puck when dumped into offensive zone? That so rarely works. Why do they bother with that play?

  6. It’s actual comical anyone who truly believes this core group could win. Window closed 2-3 yrs ago.

Pitt and wash for sure wipe the floor with them.

  7. I was going to say the period turned on The’s moronic penalty, but the Stars were handing the Rangers’ asses to them well before that, right from the second set of shifts. The moronic penalty sure didn’t help, though. Starting games well at home seems beyond their grasp for the moment.

  8. I know they have been this season, Norm. But they are all around sucking right now. I don’t expect them to just flip the switch because they’re on the road. These guys have some serious soul searching to do.

  9. I said it the other night, if Lundqvist is the rangers every game goalie now because of the injury to raanta, the rangers could find themselves out of the top 8 in a month.

  10. game on mute on iPad while doing work – sigh – this team has issues
    .
IMHO they give up the puck too easily – need to have more patience, not just play cycle game with blind passes behind.

  11. I thought AV should have gone after stanley cup run. You don’t play prevent defense and not hold a lead have to go into OT that many times and expect to win a cup
I relented give another season now….

  12. Look – Staal hasn’t found net in 5 years. He can’t keep the puck in unless it comes directly to him. He’s slow. He has a problem getting back and when he gets there, he plays shuffleboard. His next serious hit or even serious bump of an opponent will be his first.

  14. E3, you’ve got the review on this one? Unless there’s another volunteer?

I’m sorry. I’ve been so swamped at work that I get home late, listening to the radio, and then I’m doing kid bedtime routine through the second period.

  15. This is an embarrassment. Not to us but to themselves. It looks like no-one of these guys every played together before amd they all hate each other. No grit. No nothing. At the very least this game should piss you off enough to beat up some guys. Wtf?

  16. Thunderous boos, even from this usually disinterested, cell-phone jerked crowd. Years ago, three guys would come down from the old blue seats and beat the chit out of anyone in skates and a Ranger uniform who tried to get through the tunnel.

  17. AV: ‘We had a good practice yesterday and I thought we had some good looks tonight. Couple of obvious errors maybe, but the puck wasn’t bouncing our way. I won’t dwell on it. We’ll get ’em tomorrow. That’s it guys?”

  18. I don’t know what to say. There is nothing more to say.

Another month of this and Gorton blows up the team.

It’s better this happens now, when Gorton has time to blow it up, than after the trade deadline.

  21. There’s going to have to be some kind of shake up. Of course to AV that just means pairing Holden with McD and keeping them playing his system

Post game in buffalo yesterday Benn was way critical of team but when asked about his own play he said it’s not made for tv what I want say about how bad my play has been.

  23. I’m just catching up….love Roussel!

Also love the av and hank apologists here, spare me!!

2nd stars goal bad play by Holden, all skjel had to do was take the body and separate the star from the puck but he went all staal and no body contact.

    3rd goal zucc just lost

4th goal shows why skjel is going to be a good NHL D man…in a couple of years. Kid is lost in The D zone. No wonder his partners always have skjelitis.

  24. Can’t bring myself to read everything- too crazy. But I have a serious question. Can Lundqvist go to Hartford for a conditioning stint? Seems like he really needs some work away from the bright lights…I’m also getting really worried that there is something physically wrong with him. Yuck. But at least it’s 7-6 so LGR!

  25. People worried about Kreider breaking his hand…? Really?! I mean can’t afford to have a guy like Chris Stewart on your roster because fast might lose his roster spot.

  26. Dat wiz so bad I taut I saw Melo skatin out there. It’s a joke cuz Melo is garbage too. Just like the goalie we had again tonight (we should trade him. He’s no good) so we played so bad I thought it was funny to say one of the Knicks (who also stink) was playing. Hahahahaha. That’s good stuff there. Lol

  27. Klein was best D man tonight, not saying much, but the best of a bad group.

Asshat coach needs to leave klein with mcdonut until we trade for an actual partner for mcdonut.

  28. Imagine what it must be like to be a Ranger forward knowing it may take 5 goals a night to get 2 points! I don’t care how bad the D is gotta sit Lundqvist! Focus and confidence obviously gone! 8.5 mil.?

  29. I thought it was suicide when the rangers (sather) extended Lundqvist to all those years for 8.5. I wanted the rangers to trade lundqvist at the time and said so and got killed on here. How is that looking now folks.

  30. AV: “We’re not blocking the passes in front of our net.” A large part of the PROBLEM is that we are pathetically playing shuffleboard and not taking the man in front of Henrik, and AV seems to condone this. I’m losing patience with him.

  31. As this game sets in, I care less about the loss & more about the balless reaction to being intimidated by the likes of Benn and others. This team has no heart, except maybe Zucarrello.

  32. Hall of Fame Anson Carter and his posse discussing pros and cons of making rules more lax to increase scoring in NHL. We give up 7 or 8 with the rules as they are; without a bunch of them, we give up 18.

  33. Despite the contract this team misses Staal. No matter what some say here.

Having said that, there is not a guy making north of $ 5 million here that is not hurting our cap.

As Eric would say the window closed a year or so ago.

Age and injuries to key guys has caught up to us.

  34. Avery? Plz…Rangers fans dont deserve a player like Avery. He gave his spleen for this franchise and probably one of the best memories of all time (see: Avery rule) but fans turned on him for some sloppy comments. Pathetic.
