  1. Holden had a rough period
Not sure why D has a lane to go up ice and then turns back and allows Loafs to establish forecheck. Changed the whole period.

  2. I get a kick out of sports commentators who say: “He came into camp in the best shape of his career this year.” Why wasn’t the character named in top shape every year before?

  3. On the background of fairly good playing Rangers team, Kreider and Miller are the worst tonight for whatever reason…

  4. Goals scored in last 5 games all against likely Eastern Conf Playoff teams: 9, incl tonite. Does 2 goals/game get it down?

  5. Average resale ticket price for Toronto game: $373.50

I’d rather sit in front of the TV and watch the game with about 20 cases of beer.

  6. So basically we are keeping Piro because he’s sort of okay once they’re on the PP which hasn’t scored tonight…got it..I know I know. The coach is a brilliant mind don’t second guess

  7. James – my daughter came over from London with her husband and two kids and I took them to Lange’s for take-out sandwiches, then we ate in a kids’ playground on Sagamore Road. For what I paid, I could have taken them to brunch at the Plaza Hotel.

  8. It says something about how often Stephan wins a face off when he wins one clean in the offensive zone and every single teammate is caught off guard. Holden had to charge at it lol

  9. I don’t doubt it Coos. I think the last time we sat at that park w Sandwiches from there I made a joke about having just enough cash left to feed the parking meter.
Maybe not the plaza but the Greenwich Hyatt does a nice brunch on Sundays lol

  10. Wasn’t until I went in the Navy that I found all these regional names for a wedge:
Sub, hero, grinder, hoagie, spuckie… Most didn’t know what the other guys were talking about.

  11. For what it’s worth man, we picked up lunch for ourselves and our friends who had just had a baby at a really good deli in ridge wood (Bergen County ) and it was the same story. Boar’s Head must get paid in the souls of unborn children or something

  12. Spuckie, I think, is some kind of Italian bread, so the Italian Wedge they called a Spuckie. Can’t remember which guys from which area of the country called it a Spuckie. Many moons ago. Unusual.

  13. The 3 on 3 OT should just be a set play for these guys. Take the puck into their zone draw 2 men deep and try to spring Nash on a breakaway. Just keep doing that for 5 minutes

  14. That was exhausting!!!!!! And now I am very very very thirsty….

Fyi, spuckie does indeed stem for spucadella, an Italian roll, originated in North End of Boston

  15. Nice for the Rangers. I like them, as I hope I’ve made clear. But the atrocity in England diverts my attention. For those of you who don’t follow the Premier League, last year Leicester City won the whole shebang, kind of like the Toledo Mud Hens begin promoted to the majors and winning the World Series. Leicester, nine months later, just fired the coach who got them there. Un-forking-believeable. I’m ending it all.

  16. Norm, its just unfortunately quite a regular occurrence – twitchy owners, massive revenue problems caused by relegation, fan unrest – its quite common these days

  18. No doubt BDL; but the fans love him! He is small and cute.
    Step – 0-4-4 since ASG
Nash on pace for 26 goals with a total of 30 pts so far
    .
Trade them all and remake this roster for the next 3 to 4 seasons.
