Rangers at Bruins – 7:00 PM MSG; 98.7 ESPN FM
I still don’t have a confirmed volunteer for reviewing tonight’s game, so there might not be an “in review” post tomorrow. If you’re interested in doing one, just send it to me at email@example.com. I’ll post all of them! Clearly, this is a half-assed venture.
Tonight’s probable lineup for the Rangers (8-3):
Jimmy Vesey-Derek Stepan-Rick Nash
Chris Kreider-Mika Zibanejad-Mats Zuccarello
Michael Grabner-Kevin Hayes-J.T. Miller
Pavel Buchnevich-Brandon Pirri- Jesper Fast
Ryan McDonagh-Dan Girardi
Marc Staal-Nick Holden
Brady Skjei-Kevin Klein
Antti Raanta gets the start tonight in Boston, with Lundqvist returning to the net tomorrow night at home. Oscar Lindberg and Adam Clendening are Prucha’d for their third and seventh straight games, respectively.
It will be interesting to see how AV manages the lines tonight after shuffling them and benching Vesey, Kreider, and Zibanejad for most of the second half of their last game.
Also, a lot of Massachusetts connections for the Rangers, including the aforementioned Vesey and Kreider, as well as Hayes. Tonight’s game will be Vesey’s first in Boston. I imagine he will have a lot of family and friends in attendance.
For the Bruins (6-4), Tuukka Rask gets the start. David Backes returns to the lineup after missing five games with an injury to his elbow. The last time these two teams played, David Pastrnak was suspended for two games after hitting Dan Girardi in the head. I don’t think there will be any retribution as there was plenty of time during the last game to do so.
Don’t forget to vote for your three Rangers’ stars. It took me five games to put the poll up, so might as well make use of it, right?
